![]() Alex Anderson was named the tournament MVP. The Mocs had a win over Portland State the day before to claim the University of Hawaii Paradise Classic title. Hawaii grabbed a defensive rebound on a miss by Chattanooga and forced a turnover, but two 3-point shot attempts failed and the Mocs held on for a win in paradise. The Wahine did not give up and once again pushed back against the lead and outscored the Moc 18-11 to make it a 3-point game with a minute to play. ![]() Erin Ogan's short jumper in the paint capped off a 7-1 run and pushed UTC's lead back to double-digits, 54-44. Hawaii cut the lead to 13 by halftime, however, and got as close as 47-43 midway through the second half. After trading leads in the first two minutes, the Lady Mocs took charge and bolted out to a 17-point lead on a jumper by Laura Hall with 2:24 remaining in the opening half. In 2006, the Mocs won a thriller at Hawaii in the Wahine's Paradise Classic in Honolulu. Chattanooga went 9-2 in Maclellan Gym and 13-7 in The McKenzie Arena. The Mocs, also known as the Mocettes and Lady Mocs in previous seasons, are 50-25 for all games played December 10-16 and sport and 22-9 record at home. ![]() We will travel back in time to explore the Mocs history one week at a time.
